The golden sands, pristine beaches, and turquoise clean waters of Jomalig, Quezon
Before this beautiful paradise becomes an exclusive place like Balesin, we decided to at last go to Jomalig. However on our planned date it was kind of windy and the sky was gray hence I worried that the sea would be rough and unfriendly. From Infanta, we went to Ungos port and there we saw some tourists from Manila ready to explore the island. We had to use a floater from the shore to the boat then we were told to go to the upper deck. There were more or less 80 passengers.
As the boat started its engines, my 3 travel buddies positioned themselves to sleep ( a must for seasickness) hehe. I was talking with some residents of Jomalig for a while then the waves got bigger and I began to worry. We left around 11AM and it would take 5-6 hours to get there.
Sumilip ako sa bubong, ay naku namumuti ang alon huhu.. That boat was going to another island - Patnanungan..
It was 4:30PM. At last nkarating din..
After long hours of battle against the raging waves of the sea, the sky opened it's windows and hope embraced me. This beauty greeted me the next morning.
Walking along the pristine beach of Sitio Moros with my travel buddies the next day.
Enjoying the fine golden sand of Jomalig island.
A visit to Apple Beach Resort in Sitio Moros, Barangay Talisoy.
My niece under the cool shades of the pine trees..
Hoping this island maintains its beauty.
Enjoying nature at its best. Let's thank God for giving us places like this by keeping it clean. Let's follow the LNT principles. Because there are no passengers on spaceship Earth. We are all crew..
The boat that would take us to Kanaway islet.
Ang ganda mo talaga Jomalig. Sana hindi ka maging crowded gaya ng Boracay. At sana hindi ka gawing basurahan ng mga taong tumatapak sa malaginto mong dalampasigan.
Heading to Kanaway islet. The turquoise clean water of Kanaway surrounds us.
Yoga pose on the giant rock formation of Kanaway islet.
The sand here is finer and the color is lighter.
On top of the giant turtle rock formation
Sitio Petisan, Barangay Apad
Crossing the Kanaway river from the turtle rock formation back to Kanaway islet.
Jomalig sandbar.. This is between Sitio Moros and Sitio Petisan..
End of boat tour.
Preparing to go to Salibungot beach where the boat going back to Real was waiting.
This poor little thing didn't survive the rough sea.
Last chance to tread the shoreline of Salibungot beach to Lawis.
The boat that would take us back to Real port. "Thank you Lord, the sea is calm today."
Bye for now Jomalig.. It took us only 4 hours going back to Real port..
Thank you Jomalig for the wonderful memories. Hoping to see you again.
Our gratitude also to the Alvarez family who accommodated us to their home.
Leave nothing but footprints.
Take nothing but pictures.
Kill nothing but time.
Burn nothing but calories.
